Fundraising Specialist

This position works under the direction of the Development Director to assist with fundraising, donor acquisition & retention, and event coordination related activities. The individual we are seeking is collaborative, creative, detail-oriented, and demonstrates exceptional communication skills. This person must have the ability to multi-task, independently plan and organize activities to prioritize daily workloads and projects, and meet deadlines.

This is a full-time position with a starting pay range of $20.00 - $26.00 per hour DOE, plus a competitive benefits package. 

Regular job duties will Include:

  • Assisting with fundraising campaigns (creating materials, coordinating, planning, and execution)
  • Planning and executing annual fundraising and donor stewardship events, including event project management (timeline, project budget, etc.), coordinating with vendors, program production, volunteer coordination, and other activities associated with conducting a successful event  
  • Managing donor database, and  generating, analyzing, and compiling reports for stakeholders
  • Conducting donor research and managing engagement and retention 
  • Coordinating donor stewardship and renewal activities such as tours, phone calls, cards, donor summary letters, lapsed donor outreach, etc. 
  • Assisting with social media management and content creation

Experience & Qualifications:

  • H.S Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of fundraising and event planning work experience
  • Minimum 2 years of experience at a nonprofit 
  • Ability to effectively and professionally present mission-related information to diverse groups of individuals  
  • Must have the flexibility to occasionally work early mornings, evenings and weekends as needed 
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook and popular social media channels as well as other online systems with databases 
  • Ability to travel throughout Maricopa County as needed to visit sites related to department objectives 
  • Successfully pass a fingerprint clearance check and other related hiring requirements 
  • Must be able to successfully pass a Tuberculosis (TB) Test
