Director of Information Technology

Arizona Autism United (www.AZAunited.org) is a leading nonprofit organization whose sole focus is providing high quality direct services and supports to children and families in our community.  2018 is an exciting year as we continue growing in size, scope, and physical locations! Because of our growth, we are searching for an amazing Director of Information Technology to become part of a highly dedicated leadership team.

This hands-on position will report directly to the Chief Operations Officer, and will contribute tactically, operationally, and strategically. The Director of IT will be responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring business & IT systems and strategy to further enhance our organization, and work in an office environment that currently includes over 50 full-time teammates, and over 400 field-based direct care employees. 

The candidate we seek possesses a passion for technology infrastructure, systems and security (with the experience to prove it), but also a heartfelt investment in what we do - serving children and families living with autism.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Manage all IT equipment, including purchasing and setup
  • Oversee all user accounts, software systems, server, and IT infrastructure, and provide ongoing tech support to staff
  • Identify and recommend new scalable technology solutions to operationally and strategically meet current and future organizational needs (migration to a more cloud-based environment)
  • Enhance security protocols and sensitive data protection (including HIPAA); identify security vulnerabilities and eliminate them with strategic solutions that increase data safety
  • Enhance user experience across the business by implementing training and support strategies that improve system knowledge and use

Minimum Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Programming, Computer Science or related field required. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum 6 years of responsible experience in an IT environment, with at least 2 years of experience leading IT solutions and projects.
